Both women and men work directly or indirectly in fisheries and aquaculture. Several efforts aim to achieve and promote gender equality in fisheries and highlight women’s important role in the fishing and aquaculture sectors.
This report seeks to answer questions like “What is the division of labor between women and men in specific fisheries and aquaculture practices, and what are the differences concerning their access to assets, resources, and entitlements? -What are the drivers of such differences? and What could be critical entry points and opportunities for addressing inequalities and discriminatory practices?” Access the report to learn more about this relevant topic and find some answers to these questions.
