Tracking the Dark Fleet

Documenting illegal fishing is incredibly challenging, especially when fishing is undertaken without transmitting their positions. This case study highlights the use of combined satellite technologies and big data analytics in order to shed light on IUU fishing activities of over 900 boats, collecting 200,000 tonnes of fish in North Korean waters.
