The need for mandatory IMO numbers for vessels catching seafood for the EU market

This paper recommends adoption of an implementing act to the EU IUU Regulation stating that catch certificates accompanying products for import to the EU must include the vessel’s IMO number, applying for vessels of 15+ metres fishing outside of waters under national jurisdiction and vessels of 24+ metres fishing within waters under national jurisdiction.
