Gender-integrated research for development in Pacific coastal fisheries

Consortium of International Agricultural Research Centers

Gender-integrated research for development in Pacific coastal fisheries

Gender considerations are included in the Pathways project to address both internal and external mandates for equity and equality. Gender is integrated through all five of the project’s objectives as outlined most fully under project Objective 4: ‘Increase social and gender equity in coastal fisheries governance, utilization and benefit distribution’. The project seeks to support ‘more equitable access to benefits and decision-making within communities, including women, youth and marginalized groups’.
