The dramatic positive changes brought in by information and communication technologies (ICTs) have not touched all of humanity. Existing power relations in society determine the enjoyment of benefits from ICTs; hence these technologies are not gender neutral. This report gives an overview of the potential to use ICTs for social transformation and gender equality.
