SCHMIDT MARINE TECHNOLOGY SHOWCASE
October 21, 2019 @ 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm
On October 21st, Schmidt Marine Technology will be hosting our first ever marine technology showcase at The Pearl in San Francisco’s Dogpatch neighborhood. This will be a “demo day” style event, with for-profit groups we’ve supported giving 4-minute presentations about their technologies. While we’ll be delighted if the evening leads to expanded support for some or all of these groups, we have much broader goals for the event. Our hope is that these case studies will offer a glimpse of the potential for technologies that help solve ocean problems, and inspire investors and others not yet directly involved to join the movement. This will be a special evening that we’ve been working toward ever since our program began in 2015, and we hope you’ll be able to join us.
The event begins at 4:30 p.m. with drinks and snacks. The presentations, which will include opening remarks by our founder and president, Wendy Schmidt, will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Following that presenters will be available for discussion, and we’ll have a full reception on the roof until 9:00 p.m. We will need to check tickets so please register if you plan on attending. And space is limited, so if you register and your plans change please send us a note so we can make your space available.
