The Fishery Activity and Catch Tracking System (FACTS) is an electronic logbook that can run on multiple devices and operating systems for capturing catch documentation data. Additionally, it can monitor a fishermen’s catches against his/her quota, letting them know when they are nearing their catch limits. FACTS is being used in the U.S. in Michigan and Maryland, and by several Northeast groundfish fishery sectors.
